Back in the twenties and thirties of the last century, Maybach, along with Mercedes-Benz, belonged to the elite of the German and international carmakers. Maybach resumed this tradition in 2002. Maybach first presented the 57 and 62 models. In 2005 Maybach added the 57 S, a high-performance luxury sedan with sporty suspension design, to its model family. Since 2006 the new 62 S as fourth Maybach variant combines superb touring comfort with superior performance. The Landaulet also is a member of the Maybach family since 2008. In 2009 the brand crowned its range of luxury sedans with the new Maybach Zeppelin. It represents the pinnacle of the high-end luxury car segment and is the most powerful Maybach of all times. The car is a worthy successor to the legendary Maybach Zeppelin, which was considered the world leader in superior-standard car manufacturing in the 1930s.
Made-to-measure individualization is the luxury brand's recipe for success, offering customers unique opportunities to equip their top-class cars. The Sindelfingen Manufaktur realizes a host of special requests, emphasizing for one thing the use of materials and techniques which afford a sensuous look and feel – which is why the Maybach specialists come up again and again with fine new materials and paint finishes which often have been specially developed for Maybach and are not offered by any other carmaker in the world. With a passion for the exceptional, a well-developed feel for the perceptive faculty of the human senses, and in continuous dialogue with customers, the Maybach Manufaktur constantly enlarges its range of optional and customer-desired equipment to satisfy the requirements and wishes of the most exclusive group of car buyers.
The Maybach brand’s aspiration to be the leader in the high-end luxury segment is being strengthened by the facelift. 'Excellence refined' is the strategic guiding principle behind this facelift and underlines Maybach's justified claim to represent 'excellence in luxury'.
