Entirely in accordance with individual wishes and areas of application, the buyer of an Mercedes-Benz Actros can now transform his truck exfactory into his own personal safety truck.
Active Safety Features: Active Brake Assist (ABA), Brake Assist (BA), Clear-glass headlights, continuously adjustable multi-functional steering wheel/cruise control, Heated exterior mirror, Hill-Holder, Rain sensor, Retarder, Telligent® Braking System with ABS and ASR, Telligent® Distance Control, Telligent® Lane Assistant, Telligent® Stability Control, Water-spray protection, Xenon headlamps.
Passive Safety Features: Backrest with integrated PRO-NECK head restraint, Crash-optimized driver's area, Driver's airbag (incl. belt tensioner), Front, side, and rear underride protection, Integrated 3-point seat belt, Yielding materials in the interior.
The driver is assisted by Telligent® Gearshift with the new Mercedes Powershift transmission, and by the Driving and Braking Cruise Control feature. The standard Telligent® Braking System includes internally ventilated disc brakes on all wheels, an electronically controlled high-pressure brake system, Brake Assist to support the driver in emergency situations, and the hill-holder to prevent the vehicle from rolling back when starting on an incline. The key component is Active Brake Assist, which has already proven its worth over 350 million kilometers in operation with customers. Telligent® Stability Control prevents skidding, within physical limits.
