Building on the experience of recent years, in 2009 we installed a process for disaster relief that guarantees a high degree of effective aid. The process provides a global framework for projects and clarifies the main content. It also helps the national companies and subsidiaries concerned to select activities and support their projects.

In addition to charitable work, helping others to help themselves is one of our key techniques in the area of community and social work. As part of our volunteering projects, we support our employees around the world in renovating schools, kindergartens, youth clubs and hospitals, thereby offering people fresh perspectives. This vital start often “gets the ball rolling” for people who are experiencing difficulties in getting over this first hurdle.
