Our commitment in the areas of science, research and the environment aims at combining fascination and innovation with sustainability. We want to market innovative vehicles that inspire customers and meet the demands of future mobility, while also setting new standards with clean production processes, clean and economical drives and fascinating vehicle concepts.
We therefore support projects at universities and research institutes. In this way, we can help put knowledge into practice. We also sponsor environmental projects that help to develop foundations and establish new mobility concepts designed to create and maintain living areas.

NABU’s floating nature conservation station Netta: NABU’s floating nature conservation station, Netta, based in Lake Constance, Germany, provides “environmentally friendly protection”. The solar-powered boat keeps watch over the Wollmatinger Ried in Lake Constance, southern Germany, informing water sports enthusiasts and researching the native bird population.
15th United Nations Climate Change Conference: Daimler AG has been selected to support the 15th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 15) with a fleet of highly efficient and environment-friendly cars, vans and buses.
Climate 2009: "Climate 2009 " is a research conference on climate change organized by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences; since it is conducted online, it is climate-friendly/carbon-neutral.
The Global Nature Fund (GNF) is an international foundation for the environment and nature. It is state-independent and serves charitable purposes exclusively and directly.
