Sustainability
No other automaker can look back on a longer tradition than Daimler. Our success is due in large part to the fact that we have never focused on the short term. Instead, we've always set our sights on the big picture. Daimler has always been a company oriented toward the long term — and we intend to stay that way.
In 2010 we therefore “officially” incorporated the concept of sustainability into our system of strategic targets. In this way we are once more clearly emphasizing the fact that economic, environmental, and social responsibility go hand in hand. Sustainability is the basic principle that governs our business operations. We are therefore systematically tackling a host of issues from this perspective.
